Spoke too Soon

It seems I spoke too soon about feeling slightly human again because shortly after my last post, I had a relapse.  Then after a day or so, a very nasty looking rash appeared on my legs.  It was the type of rash with the power to surpass even the fiercest surgery receptionist and put me on a fast track to see the doctor - much to the annoyance of the other people in the waiting room.  From there, it was a trip to the "Infectious Disease" department at hospital, who diagnosed both Mr Marmalade and I with and "A-typical pneumonia".  We caught it from Jimmy, unsurprisingly. Unfortunately, the rash had nothing to do with it though - that is under separate investigation.   And as both of us had been laid up for a week by then, the need for antibiotics had passed.  I'm sure that in a day or two I'll be back to speed and ready to show you the loveliness which popped through my door all the way from Australia the week before last.

  10. How awful! My mum comes out in a full body rash sometimes when she's got a virus, apparently it's not uncommon. Might link in with the pneumonia in some way.

  27. Poor you - don't do the mad thing of thinking you're better when you could do with another day of rest (which I usually do). This sounds so very grim: hope you and Mr M are back to normal soon x

  29. I hope you're soon back on your feet and raring to go.

You might want to consider getting an older doctor, though. That chap with the top hat looks like he's only recently qualified.
