I have completed my first stained glass project ... I think I need a little more practice with the soldering iron! There seems to be a definite knack, which for the moment - and for at least 2 hours last night, is evading me completely.
Believe it or not, making windows is easier than making these little things because firstly you don't need to be quite so accurate when cutting your glass, and secondly, you don't have to have so clever at soldering. However, those projects are big and expensive. I'm not sure what to do next. I have lots of window spaces to tart up and too many ideas (is that possible?) - i just love Art Nouveau windows - but I like the small stuff too ...

That's a great idea for a pocket mirror - you ought to get them in Etsy. And sun catchers!
Oh, so pretty!
It's lovely!! Such a cool thing to do :)

I love stained glass work and envy you the ability. Your little flower is gorgeous. Looking forward to seeing what else you make. x

Thanks for visiting me- I've enjoyed my little visit to you!
That stained glass looks good to me.
I find that the soldering gets better the more you pracice, but I still struggle with it on small stuff. They have glass flowers like that hanging from the garden parasols in John Lewis - have you seen them? I thought I might give them a go...
Very Lovely!! I've never tried stained glass before...many other things, but not this. This as mirror is a fab idea! Oh, and I LOVE your summery bag a couple post back--you have a way with fabric pairings. Happy Days ((HUGS)) Oh, stop by when you can, I'm having a little gift giveaway :o)
How lovely - I'm sure that the iron will come under control with a little more practice.
That looks great! I tried playing with a soldering iron a little while ago and had so much trouble. Would love to know if you find the trick to it!
You're very clever- it looks fabulous despite your concerns!Did you do a course in it or teach yourself? I really fancy having a go.x
Wow that's fab, I love stained glass. The design and colours you have chosen are fantastic.
