This is ..What I Want to be When I Grow Up

When I was little, I wanted to be a Pans Person. Women of a certain age in the UK will understand this (everyone else refer to here). I was five at the time. My parents didn't think it was a good idea.

The costumes and dance routines of Pans People don't get much better than this:

I still want to be one of Pans People. Preferably the one called Cherry.

It all looks so innocent, with the silvikrin hair and fancy knickers, and the dance routine that really isn't all that taxing.

I loved them too.

Clearly I am a woman of a certain age...my memory isn't that hot these days, but how could you forget Pans People!!

LoL! I know .. it's hateful to admit a certain age when I still feel as young as said pans ... but who would want a childhood without such simple aspirations as those dance steps .. I couldn't hope to copy Britney et al ...

Thanks all for your lovely comments!

I wanted to be Babs but that might have been because she's married to Robert Powell and he was hot stuff in the 70s it's quite worrying as I was about erm 6 at the time :)

Oh they were fab weren't they? I would so love to see a revival of them dancing to today's bands!

Can just see Amy Winehouse surrounded by twirling whirling Pans Persons :)
