It's not every day you come home from work to a package like this:
It was from Miss T! who also, a few weeks back, gave me these lovely lavender bags that she had made ..
THANK YOU Miss T!! I AM getting on with your top (honest!)! Although I have also been sewing some of these with the help of Miss Wonderful. It's practice. They are Soapnut 'T-bags'. ie: bags filled with the requisite number of soap nuts for a wash. Each 'T-Bag' will last about 4 or 5 washes - according to the instructions.

Very pretty badges. I keep wondering about buying some soapnuts, are they good? do they wreck your washer? am I missing the point ;) will they remove industrial strength stains from Twiglets clothes?

I'm liking the sound of the soapnuts! Think I might have to investigate further.
I do like the idea of sewing the soap nuts into little bags - I think I tried to reuse mine too many time and they stopped working - that would help to solve the problem!
Lots of lovely things in this post Julia - and I've just read the post about your overlocker, which I missed because you posted it when I was AWOL.

I'm glad you like them :-)
Do let me know how the soap nuts work. xxx
yay for soapnuts!! I've been using them for about 3 years now and they're awesome. They even get the smell out of my sweaty running kit, which is no mean feet!
I made up a bunch of little fabric bags with foldover tops years ago and they're still going strong.
