Bottoms up!

Its been relentless rain here today which has scuppered my plans to show you the contents of Miss T's bag.

So I have this to show you instead. It's my completed scrap challenge. The 'bottom' of these jeans was sitting on my table (ha ha) at the same time as all my scraps and suddenly, inspiration struck! I'd been wanting to make an apron with the bottom for ages, but was undecided on the best way to do it. In the end, I extended the top with a bit of leg, put the waistband back on, and hey presto! Recycled jeans, complete with flowers growing out of the pockets.

Ooohhh what a fab idea, my ten year old (who is currently peering over my shoulder) thinks their "cooool". She has an old pair of jeans that I want to re-use, but I think she will get more use out of a jean bag!

I wish I had a waist that small too!lol

cheers Alex

God, you've been busy! I love that apron, sometimes materials just tell you don't they. I enjoyed 'looking through' your new book too. Mum has loads of 1940's knitting books and I love browsing them. (though they are more suited to your waist measurment than mine-maybe I'll make my million with 'the ration diet'-minus the whale meat of course!)
