A Tale of Two Runners

This morning, Mr Marmalade and several other members of Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service took part in the OX5 Fun Run at Blenheim Palace which is set up to help raise money for sick and injured children at Oxford Children's Hospital.

Here he is, smiling at the start ..

David Cameron MP is just ahead. Looking very serious.

Mr Marmalade was not smiling after 42 minutes when he reached the finish line

But Mr Cameron was!

The rest of the day was spent on the Allotment and in the garden. You can see what i've been doing there on my other blog, The Marmalade Patch.

Well done Mr Marmalade! I'm very impressed if you managed to get him to the allotment after that - Mr DC would have gone for a lie down!

I think Mr Marmalade is a marvel.

PS No one should be smiling after 42 minutes of running!

Have to say that Mr MK is in far better shape than Mr Cameron - which is far enough as you are FAR more glam than MrsC.

I hope that Mr Cameron was aware what exalted company he was in.
