WigWamBam!

Our summer holiday has been booked! We've been there before. We didn't really want to leave by the end of the week. So we're going back for more.

Tamar Valley Tipi's in Cornwall are situated right in the middle of a working farm, nestled in the most beautiful field with a view ....

Where only birdsong, cows, and the chop chop chopping of wood can be heard ..

The tipis came all the way from America and were made by the same people who made tipi's for "Dances with Wolves" (Kevin Costner not included).

Inside they are snug and cosy, and have woodburners to keep nightime chills away.

And another beautiful view ..

Situated between Bodmin Moor and Dartmoor, there is plenty to explore..

With more megaliths and stone circles than you can shake a wand at..

With plenty of cooking equipment supplied ...

There is nothing else to do but relax ...

And enjoy the scenery.

  2. Absolutely fantastic, I went in the Tipi's at Glastonbury Festival a few years back and they are so calming... Danny wants to go on a fast train.... so I am trying to work out if we can go on holiday with rucksacs and travel all over by train.. not very ecologically friendly though... he'd like camping I reacon...

Did you do the charcoal studies?

  3. Very tribal. It's amazing to see how much space is in one of the tipis.

  5. It looks idyllic but it's still camping... too many soggy childhood holidays I'm afraid.

  7. Looks fabulous!! We're introducing Twiglet to the joy of camping this Summer, we're starting in Grandmas backgarden and I've asked her to leave the summerhouse unlocked incase it gets too noisy ;)

  8. Pink Feather Paradise should note that the train is more ecologically friendly than the car... but very expensive unfortunately. Fab holiday Julia... and you can take dogs there!

  9. I love Tipi's infact any form of camping. We camped by the side of a family in a Tipi in Guernsey a few years ago. I was amazed at how much space they had inside. The location looks wonderful.
