Unbelievable..

Contrary to Darwin's theory of Evolution, where things progress - albeit over millions of years , and I don't have that much time - my crochet work, after several days and nights, has regressed, and I now have worms instead of caterpillars.

This is after I took myself off to the local yarn store, picked the brains of they lady there, bought a new hook and a more suitable ball of yarn. I will keep trying, but in the meantime, I think i'm going to try knitting instead. Just hedging my bets.

On a much happier note though, I am absolutely beside myself with excitement!!! Because I have WON one of Tracey's amazing quilts!! Imagine That! Me a winner!! I never win anything but this is the jackpot! I can't quite believe it! I have long admired Tracey's quilts and now i'm going to have one!! If you haven't visited Tracey at Imagine That yet .. go now!

Oh, keep going with the crochet. I just know that when (because it is a when) I try to teach myself to knit or crochet, I am going to be making myself loads of worms and catapillers!

Congratulations on winning the quilt giveaway ... as you say, a bit of a jackpot!

The crochet is coming along! Really it is - watch those videos I gave you the link for - they're great. x

Congrats on your win - lucky you!

Good luck with the knitting. I've given up trying to teach myself to crochet properly. There's something about starting new rows that really confuses me!

I'm not very good at knitting, but crochet has eluded me completely. I know lots of people who say they think crochet is "easier" but not for me.

Darwin also recognised that the road to evolution was not a smooth one, and along the way a few species died out, but I'm sure your crochet will be one of the survivors xx

but they're very pretty. Is that a consolation?
