Marley and Me

Today was my first day alone with Marley as Mr M went back to work, and Jimmy went to school.

There's alot of 'good cop/bad cop' routine in this house when it comes to child rearing, and as is common with this scenario, mum is always the baddie and dad is always the big softie who drives the mum to distraction. This house is no different.

However, it seems that when the subject is four legged and big brown eyed, mummy bad cop turns to mush

and slavery becomes the order of the day.

Tomorrow will be a proper "work" day as I will be at work too. So to give Marley some practice being on his own, I went to the shops to purchase the fabric for Miss L's dress.

Very pleased with it.

NOT SO PLEASED with the V&A stays which I have also been working on today. Will report back tomorrow (if I haven't fed them to the dog by then).

Hi, i have sent you an email, but Marley looks like he has settled well. Just remembered a few things, greyhounds can be food obsessed, dont know if this is the case with Marley and they can also have trouble walking on laminate flooring or anything similar, Rhonda has problems with this and is always on the look out for any morsels - watch any food left at Marley height, which he could reach!
PS the dress is lovely x

Hello there! I've been a lurker for a while now and love your blog. Just had to say that Marley is really cute. We adopted a greyhound about 6 weeks ago (Millie) and she looks just like Marley. Her brown eyes keep getting her out of trouble - she certainly knows how to cause it!

Lovely, lovely material; I could imagine it making a gorgeous 50s style cocktail dress too! The red is a beautiful touch.

And Marley is irresistible.
